Nestled in the remote expanse of Noamundi, Jharkhand, Tata Steel Main Hospital (Tata Group Healthcare) stands as an innovative medical marvel. Built by Nest-In, this universally designed institution covers an area of 90,000 square feet and is a G + 2 building with 133 beds. This prefabricated hospital serves as a critical healthcare facility for Noamundi and nearby regions like Jaganathpur, Barbil, and Champua. Its groundbreaking construction using prefabricated technology sets this hospital apart.
The Nest-In Solution
Nest-In employed its advanced prefabricated healthcare construction solutions to construct the Tata Main Hospital that now caters to many communities in need. The entire prefab hospital deployment was completed within 18 months, showcasing Nest-In’s ability to build 2x faster than traditional methods.
Comprehensive Facilities
The prefabricated hospital includes an emergency section with a burn ward, 12 fully-equipped OPDs, a radiology department, a general pharmacy, a pathology lab, private and semi-private rooms, modular general wards, administrative rooms, critical care units (ICU and NICU), a labour OT, a dialysis room, an OR complex, a blood bank, and a medical store.
Ancillary Support
The prefab medical building also houses DG transformers, solid waste management, a morgue, laundry services, and an Occupational Health Centre (OHC). The ancillary building is of 8,104 sq.ft.
Enhanced Accessibility
Three lifts, including a dedicated stretcher lift, ensure smooth movement of patients and medical equipment.
Comfort

The construction process used 48% less freshwater and 65% less material sources, and had 53% less greenhouse gas impact than traditional RCC methods.
